Operations Technician – Water/Wastewater

Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority is accepting applications for the position of Operations Technician.
This is a full time, hourly position with excellent benefits and a set work schedule with no travel and involves operations of both water and wastewater facilities.
Successful candidates will possess a minimum high school diploma or equivalent with analytical/problem solving skills, an understanding of cause/effect, and mathematical aptitude. A trade (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) or an interest in chemistry/biology/environmental science is a plus. Successful candidates must have effective communication skills, be team oriented, and flexible to the changing needs of the organization. The position requires a background check and drug testing. A valid driver’s license is required.
This position is full time (40 hours per week). Following the training/introductory period, candidates should be aware that the schedule is five days per week, generally 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM with a fixed schedule that includes Saturday and Sundays. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
