Over the past two years, Lycoming County Water & Sewer Authority (LCWSA) has been working on the design of the sewer main and lateral repairds in Church Alley. LCWSA utilized McTish, Kunkel & Associates (MKA) to complete the design and prepare bid documents for construction.
The project scope generally consists of open cut installation of 230-feet of 8-inch PVC sewer main and associated laterals, the Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of 320-feet of deep 10-inch PVC sewer main, retirement of laterals, and surface restoration of the work site. The project also includes lateral replacements on Loyalsock Avenue.
The bid has been awarded to HRI, Inc. and construction is slated to begin on Monday, May 24th. The expected working hours are Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM. Work will begin at Church Alley, with the lateral replacements at Loyalsock Avenue to begin following completion of the work at Church Alley.
The contractor should coordinate with you regarding work within or near your property, if necessary. Both MKA and LCWSA will have staff on site during the work to inspect and observe. All parties will coordiante work to cause the least disturbance to your daily scheudle and your access to Church Alley and/or Loyalsock Avenue.
Please contact Brad Swartz, Nathan Harvey, or John Lundy at LCWSA with any scheduling concerns so that the contractor may work with your for your convenience. We can be reached at (570) 546-8005.
